One-piece ostomy bag for single use . The adhesive pad made of Stomahesive® material is already part of the bag, the bags are equipped with a modern filter system . 

The basis of all ConvaTec stoma aids is an adhesive layer made of Stomahesive® material. Stomahesive® solid material is a unique combination of natural substances and other components that give it excellent healing properties. It is protected by a worldwide patent. It holds well on dry, mildly moist and inflamed skin . 

Esteem® ostomy bags are equipped with a modern filter system that can eliminate odors caused by a wide range of substances. The amount of gas leaving the bag can be controlled using the stickers included in the package.

* Anyone, from a newborn to the elderly, can be affected by an inflammatory or cancerous disease, injury or other disability that is the reason for surgery and results in the opening of the large intestine, small intestine or ureter through the abdominal wall. Establishing a stoma is one of the major life-saving operations, or serves to extend its length.

The package contains 30 transparent bags. 

Dosage and method of use

  1. Prepare a bag and everything needed for changing it, i.e. a washcloth (one-time use), soap, a towel or pulp to dry the area around the stoma, a bag for changing devices, protective and cleaning products that are needed to care for the stoma. 
  2. Measure the stoma and choose the desired product type. 
  3. If you have chosen an Esteem® bag with a hole size of 20 mm in the mat, sketch the desired diameter and shape on the back of the mat and cut out . Other Esteem® bags with a pre-cut opening in the 25 – 70 mm pad are already ready to use for the given stoma size. 
  4. With the one-piece system, the adhesive pad made of Stomahesive® material is already part of the bag, when changing the device, the entire bag is always removed and a new one is attached. 

The wearing time can be different, it depends on the individual feeling of comfort and safety of the patient. 

You can wear this product on your body even when showering or swimming. Use a sticker for closed filter bags. Dry off after bathing.

 Notice

In the case of inflammation around the urostomy, in conjunction with an abnormally dilated ureter and the absence of a urinary reservoir, adhesive may appear in the urinary tract. In the case of the presence of these substances in the urinary tract, consult a healthcare professional about further use of the product.
